About the role

Be the first voice and face of Shanti. You'll welcome patients, keep the schedule running and make sure every visit starts and ends smoothly.

What you’ll do

  • Greet patients and handle check-in and check-out.
  • Answer calls and schedule appointments in the EMR.
  • Keep clinic supplies stocked and ordered.
  • Manage the clinic email and handle follow-up and communication with doctors' offices.
  • Handle incoming referrals.
  • Upload patient information and insurance records to the EMR.
  • Verify insurance and collect payments.
  • Keep the reception area welcoming and organized.
  • Protect patient privacy in every conversation and record.

What you’ll bring

  • Customer-service or front-office experience.
  • Comfort with computers and scheduling systems.
  • Organization, patience and a warm phone manner.

Nice to have

  • Medical-office or Physical Therapy front-desk experience
  • Insurance-verification experience
  • Experience with Physical Therapy billing and sending invoices to patients
  • Hindi, Gujarati or Punjabi
